Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely famous. Her mother raised her throughout the USA she was subject to many racial slurs that made her feel being unwelcome. In the 9th grade, she started to feel more confident when she was praised by her teachers for her performance at school's audition. This experience did not just help her gain confidence but changed her outlook on life. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. She began her career at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. The most notable success of her career came with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake as Spamalot's initial Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by critics. Following that she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. An accomplished singer, she's also produced songs as well as an extended piece. In addition, she's an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
